He also served as a judicial law clerk at the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, gaining valuable insight into judicial decision-making and courtroom procedure. Attorney Burton has also served as faculty at the Judicial College of Maryland – Family Law University, where he taught various subjects in family law to new and experienced judges and magistrates in the State of Maryland. Furthermore, Attorney Burton has been appointed by the Court to serve as an investigator in guardianship matters, best interests attorney in custody cases, and trustee to to sell real property in contested divorce matters.
